HopeNYC began in 2009 with 6 people in a tiny space in Ozone Park Queens. The pastors, Sharo and Curt had just sold their home in Texas, given away all their vehicles except a small car and moved all their belongings to New York. They did this upon receiving a God given vision and instructions to plant a ministry in New York that would provide a place for people to be at Home. Along with their Co-worker Leslie, they made the journey and soon were having a 3 p.m. service.
HopeNYC quickly began growing and soon outgrew the small meeting place. We then transitioned to the large living area of a member's home and shortly thereafter to the space we now occupy on Liberty Ave. That space has also become too small to facilitate the growth.
In 2012, All glory to God, HopeNYC acquired a piece of property which will be the future Home of Hope! The sanctuary will hold up to 1000 people as well as modern childcare, youth, offices and children's facilities! We are excited about beginning our construction project in 2012.
HopeNYC meets on Sundays at 10:30 am at our new locaton 142-82 Rockaway Blvd. South Ozone Park NY 11436 and on Wednesdays at 7:30.
The teens (Wildfire) meet on Fridays at 7:30.
Hope has always been a diverse group of people, unified in the desire to give the people of New York a place to come Home to Father God and become true followers of Jesus.
When you visit Hope you can expect to be welcomed warmly, to hear lively music and to find the teachings relevant to your life. We hope you take the opportunity to visit us on a Sunday in the near future to experience The Power of Hope for yourself.
